SELMA Roof G4 – Vehicle-Based Gas Leak Detection

Selma Roof G4 Vehicle-based Gas Leak Detection

Features

  • Simple operation and data processing
  • Detects leaks in front and to the side of the driving path
  • Detection distance — up to 80 m
  • Max velocity — 60 km/h
  • Methane sensitivity — 5 ppm
  • Installation on any type of vehicle

Application

  • Inspection of high and low pressure gas distribution networks
  • Detects very small leakages
  • Based on a pulsed IR laser system
  • Detects leakages by utilising two independent laser detection systems

SELMA Roof G4 Vehicle-Based Gas Leak Detection Overview

SELMA (Street Evaluating Laser Methane Assessment) is one of the most advanced Vehicle-Based Gas Leak Detection devices available for inspection from a moving vehicle. SELMA pulses an infrared laser beam to identify sources of methane emissions.

Roof: The infrared laser beam can be aimed toward any object from 3.2 to 262 feet away. SELMA recognises methane clouds that cross through the IR beam between the object and the sensor, measuring the discharge.
